EVERYONE AN ARTIST! SUSTAINABILITY = CREATIVITY! DIY CRAFT FOR ALL!
Crafternoon Tea Club was a collective lead by artists and craftivists, Beccy McCray and Hannah Elbourne. Together we explored playful participatory and community-based art, combined with DIY craft and game play. This could take any form; from happenings, making and baking, to installation, collage, parties and painting. Or just being nice to people.
Crafternoon Tea Club constituted a dialogue between artist and audience, blurring boundaries between the two, influencing the course of each project and the lives of the people involved.
Our aim was to make a difference by bringing people together through creative activity; sharing materials and ideas whilst using our collective powers for the greater good. But most importantly, having fun while we did it 🦩
Crafternoon Tea Club’s past collaborators and partners include the Barbican, Olympic Park Legacy Company, National Theatre, Home Live Art, De La Warr Pavilion, Create London, Bestival, the Women's Institute and many more.
