Nexus Studios

I spent 12 wonderful years at world-leading animation and immersive studio, Nexus, where I built the Music, Arts & Culture division, exploring the innovative space where the arts, entertainment and brands intersect with design, storytelling and creative technology. Nexus’ credits range from BAFTAs and Grammys, to D&AD Black Pencils and Cannes Grand Prix.

I was responsible for developing and implementing artistic and strategic vision, which was key to the company’s culture, weaving together culturally relevant stories and providing a launchpad for pioneering and experimental projects.

Reporting directly to the Co-founders & ECD I played a vital role in major decisions about company objectives, the ongoing scouting and development of talent and the evolution of Nexus’ unique voice and style.

Through brokering partnerships, developing client relationships and seeking out trends and new markets, I developed a broad network of contacts ranging from world-creative talent to cultural institutions, the music industry, tech partners and brands.

My role involved handling clients, taking a holistic view over multiple productions, and placing the right talent on the right projects. I was an integral part of ideation and creative strategy, interpreting creative briefs and translating these ideas into compelling proposals. I ensured high standards were upheld throughout, defining and monitoring quality, helping to inspire and innovate, and delivering the most creative solutions to client briefs. Working closely with the PR team I ultimately made sure that we created talked-about cultural content.
